Built door on circular room does not let me in when powered
Expedition required a base so I built a circular room with a door. it is fine unpowered
because I can still get shelter, but if I give it power it shuts and does not let me in
long-known bug or I did something wrong?

Doors by default (unpowered) are open. If you power them they are closed by default. Just kill the power to the door or go on a dweeb journey to figure out how to make doors open and close.

Simple answer is use the blue shield door thing.

That is how those doors work: Powered = Closed. You need a switch (or several of them) to let you toggle the power on or off in order for the door to open & close. There are switches like the proximity and floor switches, if you don't want to deal with flipping a handle to open & close the door.

not a bug, use the power inverter in the wiring, i sure someone here can explain the how-to for you

PS. i'm not a builder (and prefer the parts instead of prefabs) but my understanding is that the way they've done it means visiting players aren't locked in/out in cos of no power

yeah, like others have said above, those doors fail open when there's no power... if you want to use them, you also need a power inverter and a switch... you connect them so when the switch is off (red), then power goes to the door to have it closed... when you flip the switch to on (green), then there is no power to the door and it opens...

FWIW: use the holo door instead... then it doesn't matter about the power...
