Extending base range doesn't seem to work anymore
I have a new settlement that I started last week. I was able to expand way out from the boundaries of the base to about 100u in all directions. It WAS letting me put down build parts but now they no longer appear and I get the base out of range option
I was using this method that I made a video for a while back
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUHKJqs4SLM
Even if i could get the pieces down out of range by clicking the left stick to change the camera, once going up to the new piece that is put down, the build options do not appear anymore like they were. Did they nerf something in the last week? I have done this a bunch of times before so I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right
Heck, I even made a video of HOW to do it. Speaking of that video, is it obsolete now? should i remove it?

This is a long time bug. Reload usually fixes it.

1000u is the limit of how far you can go and has been for a very long time

That isn't the problem. I'm not trying to go past that. I already went to about that far but now it won't let me build in those places. Even I've alrady put down buildings and other stuff outside of the standard base range

thats a long standing minor bug with teleporting into a base as grimmslayer said above just reloading should fix that if that doesn't something else is going on

i'm pretty sure I tried that (I usually do for stuff like this), but just to be sure i'll try to save and reload restore point and restart game if that doesn't work

For what it is worth I extended my build range 2 days ago. Had never done that before and was a bit of trial and error. But it worked in the end. I never once changed camera mode as I read so many people suggest.

I extended it to build at a power location. The hiccup was I did not know electrical cable has a 200 u range. Once I worked that out I was golden.

I just set-up a base 1000u in each direction, 2 days ago. Base has been fully functional since.

I figured it out. When I first got the settlement I made a base as close as I could to it and then started extending it out. Someone made a base near it (not within range of my actual base but within range of the extending I did and that is considered their base. I can still build in that area but only when offline. Anyway, problem solved.

Unless you're into the MP aspect of the game, I'd switch off the networking option. Might that help?

Yeah, I disabled the network/multiplayer thing and WALAH! The build options came back :)
