NMS atlantid Monolith 'infused history'
Ok, so i found a monolith on a korvax planet, used it and got some useless tech.
I then used the strange portal, added atlantidium, and received an atlantid multitool, but the mission still says 'inspect the monolith', but nothing else happens...i've even flew to the portal indicated, but nothing happens and the mission just stays there...
...i then found another monolith, so i've now got 2 atlantid multitools, and 2 open missions saying 'inspect the monolith'.
Am i missing something, because i dont think there's anything left to inspect ??

It means you should talk to the monolith again. Infusing the pillar with atlantidium adds a different interaction with it.

Basically just interact with the atlantid last, Like if there to use a brain. Do the brain first then use that terminal so no conflict.

The monolith is primed to do one of two things here. They're mutually exclusive; it's supposed to lock you out once you're done interacting with it.

Central pillar > riddle > 'random' reward / Atlas word / find a portal, maybe?

Purple pop-up > fuel > central pillar > riddle : story > purple pop-up > Multi-tool > End of.

~~~
My advice for the sticky objective marker is to ignore it in the vain hope it goes away.
If you interact with the monolith first, you get the usual riddle etc, but if you then interact with the pillar afterwards and infuse it, you can interact with the monolith for a second time and get a different Atlantid based riddle/story and reward.
I think this is what the objective the OP is getting is trying to tell them to do.
Edit: Wrong! You can't clear the objective by interacting with the monolith a second time.
It's possible to sequence-break these things; I recall doing much the same thing once.
Like the 'mission' to dig up cargo pods at a freighter wreck site. The marker would get more than a little clingy if you opened any of the boxes before giving the distress beacon a poke.
Actually, you were quite right with what you said before. I just tried to interact with a monolith for a second time and all I got was the option to locate a portal, leaving me with the same outstanding objective as the OP. There's nothing you can do except abandon it.
Sorry to doubt you :)
Yep this was my problem exactly...the 2nd time you interact with the monolith, it just directs you to the portal again.
Thanks for the help to all those who replied...seems i'll have to abandon those open ended missions.
So its bugged... or what...?
Korvax monoliths after the mission of autophages have two functions and at the same time they are incompatible
As a normal monolith, solve the puzzle and find a portal without touching anything else
touch the pillar of the 3 glyphs, solve the puzzle (now the story is about the autophages), recharge atlantideum and collect the multitool
Ah, yes, in Korvax stations, inserting Atlantideum into the station terminal, even in pirate ones, creates a network whose function is unknown for now.
