I don't think the elite dog sentinel should be able to call in reinforcements.
Lame.

Why not? Never-ending sentinels until you give up and run away is kind of the theme of the game.:steammocking:

No I hate that, I want to feel the surge of accomplishment when I annihilate their friends and leave them alone and helpless while I pepper them with bolter rounds and they die a miserable craven death cowering beneath the defilade of my combat superiority.

Otherwise I'm going to have to find DPS upgrades and that's annoying.

It's just not as satisfying as when you completely outmanoeuvre your enemy and get to finish them off in a cinematic and fulfilling way.

... so leave one floater (not the summoner, obviously) while you finish off the doggo?

I could try that again but I could have sworn that reinforcements came anyhow, I will try that again.

This is a survival game, you're supposed to be weak. If you want feel like the Doom Guy then you're in a wrong game...

Some complain the fighting in NMS is too weak.
Now there's one publicly crying the opposite ... :steamfacepalm:

Ever thought of changing your difficulty settings? :winter2019neutralbulb:

I rather think that the elite dog sentinel shoud have his hitbox fixed.... blaze javelin almost systematically pass trough without hitting and projectiles from the plasma launcher and geology cannon also often miss it for no reasons....

saying that nms combat is weak is not referring to its difficulty but its gameplay. nms combat is like a pillow fight between a baby and its great great grandma. it's slow, the meager there is to do has dumb restrictions, it's pointless, and basically impactless both in feedback and game progression
