If they just trimmed the tris out in these objects, you gonna see 100-200% FPS boost right off the bat.
That's interesting, but why they didn't do that already?
1. That's an old topic, if it was this way in 2020, they might have already updated those models. Is there a way to check?
2. The game is mostly cpu limited nowadays because of the terrain generation, so I doubt those unnecessary high poly models are used this way in the game. There must be some sort of lighter version of them used in game. Maybe process that optimize them when they are imported in their game engine.
FSR 3 / frame gen does not seem too difficult to implement if you already support FSR 2. I have seen mods for couple of games already on reddit.

2. Nope, it were used, and it's used until date. There's LOD settings which "supposedly" lower the complexity. But it's used. Even exosolar had to make a new model for industrial because how bad it was.
