How relaxing is this game?
I'm debating picking it up on sale. I'm looking for something to just chill out, sip some tea, and mess around exploring. I'm not looking to get sweaty in fights, and if I die than it's no big deal. Does this game fit the bill or not really?

It can be very zen, if you play it that way.

Combat can nearly always be avoided, and you can even turn off the dropping of all your stuff on death in the settings, if you feel the need.

I play it for exactly those reasons. It's meant to be more of a relaxing exploration game, once you get past the initial scenario which flirts with survival a bit.

Should you ever feel a need for more challenge, you can make it so, but the Normal mode is chill and there are easier modes than that. There is also a custom mode where you can make some things harder or easier, depending on your preference. If you want no death consequences right away, you'll want to hit that mode because you can make it so that you lose nothing when dying.

Yes.

This is my chill game. I explore, I build bases, mess around, fly in space, mostly no combat. Some people dislike NMS because it's just a sandbox, so many just can't find anything to do in NMS. Difficulty settings are very granular and can be adjusted on the fly during the game. No sweating. Lots of mods too if you want to customize the game further.

It's a really chill sandbox game, as long as you stay away from the forums. :steamhappy:

Come on, it's not THAT bad. Visit Starfield or Cyberpunk forums, see how bad it can get.

At least 90% less topics mentioning "woke" here, thankfully.

THey didn't win but, not bad placing since going from "zero-to-Hero" after 7 Years !...

As relaxing as you want it to be. The difficulty settings are pretty robust and there's quite a few relaxing activities like building and cooking, so you'll definitely find something to chill.

This is the game for you. It's relaxing exploring, collecting, building. It's open ended.

PVP is nearly nonexistent. In fact the community is very kind. You can go to the multiplayer hub and ask people for stuff and they'll make you rich with no strings attached.

That's exactly why I have so many hours in it. I had a very high stress job, I'd come home and instead of say drinking, I'd play NMS to relax.

This is the game you play when you don't want to rack your brain or stress out about how to beat the next boss. It's a zen game.
