mineral extractor not working

I surveyed, found a spot, put down a fresh base, and built the extractor. I put one biofuel reactor on it thinking that was enough, but nothing happened. So I attached two more and a solar panel, but it still says it's offline. What am I missing?


Edit: I went back, deleted everything and placed the extractor and one biofuel reactor. It works now, thank you.

You need to learn how to calculate power for your bases. For every 50kP your base uses you need one battery and two solar panels (generates 50kP each, one powers the base and one charges the battery for the night) or just one biofuel reactor (generates 50kP).

One extractor uses 50kP so one biofuel reactor is enough (or one battery and two solar panels) for the extractor *alone*, but if you have anything else using power, you need more.

Also, make sure you have power wires connected properly. Finally, it's possible it's bugged in which case you need to dismantle the extractors and all power devices and rebuild.

I was having problems too. Try save, exit, restart. That fixed it for me. MP nonsense.

Yes, MP is often the culprit, unfortunately.
