No harmonic brain in inventory
It says to search my inventory for a harmonic brain to repair the ship but there isn't one. Is this a glitch or something?

Remove the Hyaline Brain from the Interceptor.
Interact/activate it in your inventory.
It will give you coordinates to a nearby Monolith.
Present the Hyaline Brain to the monolith.
Hyaline Brain is converted into Harmonic Brain.
Install the Harmonic Brain in the broken Interceptor.
Profit.

I don't have one. I know I took everything I could from the ship. Maybe I wiped it out somehow. The only weird thing I have in my inventory is a "crystalized heart". Is my only option here to find another dissonant planet & ship and camp and do all this over again?

Not sure, but the crystallized heart is not related to the interceptor ship. I don't remember what it is used for for. Maybe the Hyaline Brain is in your ship's inventory?

You don't have to go to another planet. You can repeat this process on the same dissonant planet.

Oh, it is possible that found a bugged interceptor. I spent some time today looking for interceptors and I came across two I could not interact with in any way.

You have to acquire an Echo Locator first:
https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Echo_Locator

Find Dissonance Resonators on your HUD. They drop Echo Locators (not always) when you shoot them:
https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Dissonance_Resonator

The Echo Locator will give you the location of a Dissonant Camp.

Just be aware that the Dissonance Resonators are guarded by several corrupted sentinels and the fight sometimes triggers response from normal sentinel forces. Just melee-boost away after getting the Echo Locator if you don't feel like fighting them.

How to find Harmonic Camps and farm Interceptors.

2 ways;

* kill harmonic something guy, who has a purple antenna, walking around, drilling ground with sentinel guards protecting it, it may drop a echo locator.. use it to locate a harmonic camp, computer tells you the location of another interceptor

* this one is easier, at least for me ;) attack to any sentinels and get on your ship and sentinel ships will arrive, destroy them and they will call backups, and at level 5 they will call a capital ship, destroy it and it will give you a device, activate it to locate a crashed interceptor directly (without a camp)

tip: go under the shields of capital ship, destroy shield generators, 2 on each sides. then make some distance, shoot till it explodes ;)

So destroying a sentinel mothership is "easier" than shooting a Dissonance Resonator?
OK...

LOL! This is one reason I use the Save Editor: I hate how the game distributes the slots on a new save. I keep making the same mistake so I use the Save Editor after starting a new game to arrange my slots in few neat rows, same number of slots, but not scattered all over.

not that, i once walked around like 20 minutes to find one of those guys.. strangely there was not any.. other method is somewhat faster but works for just one interceptor. camp gives you infinite locations of course. thing is it may not drop one right away, they drop that mirror thing more often.

Really? You just had bad luck. I always find them within seconds. You can see them on your scanner and just tag them. Their icons look somewhat similar to Radiant Shards so you need to look carefully. But they're everywhere every few hundred units.

While I've put up with it, that early game, helter-skelter slot arrangement has always irked me; and has caused me to miss spotting items in my inventory more than once.

I don't know, your profile picture shows that you are one of those construct people, maybe that's why you find them easily ;)
