Why can't I reset missions?
Even in singleplayer its impossible. I thought it was a multiplayer bug.

Go to the anomaly, find a player base in another galaxy, go there. Bing !. Reset.

Be a good idea to have a base in Euclid first though ;)

Just to be crystal clear, you can reset where you are in a mission to use planets/systems in a new local area by traveling are enough away from the old area. You can't reset a mission to the beginning or a prior point in the story line or something like that. (at least not in the same save) Unless you build a new base and set it up with tech stations and so forth, the game will still want to use the prior system where you had your "home" base even if you do reset the locale. It will just work if you are resetting for some glitched out location reason. (like a POI stuck in solid rock)

You can just start a new save a play through again if that is what you are expecting by reset a mission.

I tried resetting awakenings because there was a point in that quest where I got stuck (it said I needed to go to another system to get the hyperdrive and fuel recipe. Yet the marked star-system was the one I'm already jn). I wanted to reset it to the beginning of that point rather than the beginning of the entire mission, that's when I noticed that I couldn't reset. The prompt never showed up.

but I get it though. just need to travel far enough away.
