Can't salvage ship

Part of the Audience With Autophage quest, I have to salvage a ship. I followed the quest marker and found the ship, only I cannot interact with said ship. In fact I'm walking right throught it.

I tried leaving the planet and coming back, then leaving the system and coming back, but no way to fix this, there's just no apparent way to interact with the crashed ship and salvage it.

What do?

This is a common bug with any crashed ship type since 4.4.

Hop out of your ship next to it to create a restore point and reload the game from that point. It may take more than one attempt before the wreck becomes interactive.

You may also find someone planting a base nearly on top of that ship can also interfere with getting it. In fact, today such a base had a freakin' NPC owner for the ship, as a landing pad was planted next to it. Strange things at the Circle K.
