What rank do i need to be with autophage before i can get their quests that give void motes?

I believe i am rank 6 at the moment, been flying around gifting them a ton of stuff.

have you purchased everything they have available from their terminals?
ISTR something about them not giving any more quests once you have everything they sell at all their terminals... this may or may not be a bug, though... especially if these are the only things void motes are used for...

with all that said, there are three ways of obtaining Void Motes...

1. from salvage at Harmonic Camps
   
2. mission rewards from Outlaw Space Stations
   
3. rewards for assisting the Autophage (requires They Who Return is completed)

I'm not sure what quests you're looking for there are no lengthy quest that involve them when you find them on a planet and talk to them, they give you things to do that's pretty much it they pay you in void motes and you buy stuff that's all. And each time you help them you go up in their rank.

Ah, I know what you mean, had the same problem. It's not about rank. At certain point of the quest (after you created 2 items for your stuff), while it says that you have to keep helping them to increase reputation, in fact, you just need to get quest from specific autophage to push quest further.

If you like me, couldn't find that planet - just reload the quest and redo old tasks within 3-5 minutes. All autophages you need will be more or less nearby, so you can finish the quest and unlock their missions as well.

How do i find that quest specific autophage? I have been to a ton of camps turning in gifts, and haven't met one that does anything different. The mission tab is still grayed out.

Follow the marker of the main autophage quests and everything will be alright. There 3 of them AFAIK. Choose any in the log.

Just complete each step one by one. They say to find one at this planet? - find it with multi tool. In another system? - fly to the nearest system and find autophage right away. Do not postope questline and do not visit distant systems.

Again, gifts have nothing to do with it. I maxed my reputation with them until I just gave up and reloaded quest, coz I had no idea where that damn planet was.
