Unless you marked it with a beacon (or base), you are unlikely to find that specific one again without a whole bunch of really painful (and time consuming) searching.
There are some ship and exocraft modules that will help you find a similar one though.
If you have an economy scanner on your ship you can use the X menu to scan for trading posts.
Your settlement should be listed as one of the quick locations, ahead of all your bases. It will have a purple background on the icon, IIRC.
Shouldn't matter where you are, or where the settlement is. You can only have 1 settlement at a time.
