How to find past visited settlements?
I left a minor settlement so that I could return to sell a lot of stuff, now I can't find it again...

I'm sure it's on one of the 18+ quintillion planets in your galaxy...
Just do a quick look on all of them, we'll wait. :P

Unless you marked it with a beacon (or base), you are unlikely to find that specific one again without a whole bunch of really painful (and time consuming) searching.

There are some ship and exocraft modules that will help you find a similar one though.

If you want to return to a particular point of interest the best thing to do is to place a save beacon or base computer next to it.

If you have an economy scanner on your ship you can use the X menu to scan for trading posts.

You will learn how to mark locations of interest so you can return. Generally, if you found one minor settlement, there are a thousand more on the planet so don't fret. I usually just fly low and slow and will either find one o the tall beacons (which will create an icon for a minor settlement) or just pick out a minor settlement from the air. Works best at night where you can see the landing pad circle light up but they are not hard to find any time.

Go to the teleporter at a space station.

Your settlement should be listed as one of the quick locations, ahead of all your bases. It will have a purple background on the icon, IIRC.

Shouldn't matter where you are, or where the settlement is. You can only have 1 settlement at a time.

Reading comprehension still not a common trait on these forums I see.
