Cargo gone? Starship

i havent logged in for a week or so. But when i did just now my cargo of my starship seems to be gone. anyone an idea how to retrieve it?

Unless you moved it and forgot, that does not happen. The only other potential is:
you gathered a bunch of stuff and forgot to save and closed out the game.

You took a Nexus mission, gathered a bunch of stuff and never completed the Nexus mission. Nothing is saved while you are on a Nexus mission.

If you tried to save before exiting- it does tell you how long it has been since your last save. Get used to checking that before exiting the game.

Check your other ships to see if it is stored there? You may have switched ships. BTW, overflow of items will now automatically go to some of your other inventory spaces if you run out of room- especially on the freighter. That would not account for an empty ship.

nope, never did anything with the nexus. i just exited the game like all other times. get in starship, get out and exit game. it even gives a notification that the last save file is x seconds ago.

so it clearly does happen.

i only use 1 starship, so it cant be in any other ship. or it magically went into a starship i only collected and didnt use

Your only option is to put in a bug report to Zendesk. Played for over 4,000 hours and never seen that happen. Never read it about it happening in the forums so it must be pretty unique to you.

Playing with others with MP on can create unusual experiences. The game can get confused over ship ownership if you are playing with other players- especially when you are trying to do ship scrapping/swapping in the station. In those cases, you usually end up with a ship you did not intend to keep and lose a ship you did not want to lose. Read a few where the ship type completely changed but the stats remained the same.

Also mods can have unexpected consequences.
