Ship Icon and Mission Icons Not Visible
For some reason my personal ship icon and Anomaly mission icons aren't showing up. I can see my freighter's icon, but not my personal ship or missions. I also don't see any option to turn this on or off in the menus. Anybody else having this problem?

I don't run mods.

Some icons only show when the mission is selected. The ship might be off if you are in a certain point of the mission (starting mission) So not knowing exactly what you are doing it's hard to comment.

I'm doing the Anomaly quicksilver missions, not the Atlas stuff or the tutorial stuff or anything else. I'm also just wandering around worlds with no missions active and I still can't see my ship icon.

Is any of your scanner tech broken?

No, my multitool is in perfect condition as is every mod in it.

The only thing I can think of is the display visor not being installed the MT.

If you meant the analysis visor, it's installed.

The personal ship icon can be very difficult to find in some situations. It can switch form the "ring" where you expect to see it on the scanner, to just an icon you need to see by being in line of sight* (essentially). You can see it through the hills but you have to scan up and down as well as around since it may be higher or lower then your current position. It can also get hidden/combined with other icons and won't resolve as a separate icon until you get closer and they separate.

Also, for me, if my freighter is in the neighborhood I have gotten confused and moved toward that icon instead of the proper icon. :steamfacepalm:

When it gets frustrating, I just call in the ship.

If you have a second MT try switching them. Then switch back. Otherwise, reinstall the the visor. Other than that I don't what would cause it.

I've done all that. I've uninstalled the visor, reinstalled it, switched to another and did the same to that one. I've deleted both visors and recrafted them, then removed them and replaced them again, still nothing.

It's a minor inconvenience to not see the icon, I know I can just call it. That's exactly what I've been doing. I just don't want to have to always call my ship in order to see it when I don't have to.

I'm standing at angles where I have direct line-of-sight of my ship, but I'm several hundred meters away and can't see any icon anywhere. I can look around and still see my freighter's icon, but the ship icon is just legit not there. As I said earlier mission icons are also not appearing but the ship icon is especially strange to me, because it should be consistent and I've literally never had this issue after years of playing.

Screenshot. You should see the icon even if the ship is right in front of you.
