I can't interact with one of my companions pls help

I can't interact, for example I can't ride him, feed or pet him, not even get him to lay eggs, I don't know how to do it, I got him from the anomaly from a stranger and tried to interact with him in different environments but nothing, maybe the egg was modified, i don't know, if anyone has my problem or can help me please i need it.

several questions come immediately to mind...

1. did you get the critter or the egg of the critter from the anomaly?

2. does the critter show up in your companions list so you can summon them?

3. what kind of creature is it?

The person that gave you the egg probably used a mode or an editor to create a companion of a creature type that normally can't be tamed. Those creature type do not have any interactions coded for them.

That is a modded pet. People modify pets outside of the game and then bring them in. Often they do not lay eggs and are not rideable. Remember these pets do not really exist in the game and there is no way to tame a shark so it is modded and modded pets often don't work correctly, mainly just something neat to have.

Fish in the game currently can not normally be adopted. A few other weird creatures can also not be adopted. Modding those creatures is the only way to capture them but they will often be lacking in procedural animations and controls.
