Intel mac Mini i7 / RX6800 eGPU - Disappointing
Well, thought i'd give this a try on my 2018 Mac mini. I'm getting about one frame every three to five seconds. I'm above the minimum i5 requirement with an i7 and have 32 GB of memory, but graphic rendering performance is dismal even with my RX6800 eGPU setup, all lowest settings / 1080 resolution. Any thoughts?

is that one of those external GPU units that uses thunderbolt 3 to connect? can you see how much bandwidth it is using on the cable?

Try turning off the V Sync, often makes big trouble.

Disabled V-Sync, no change. Also dug our my MacBook 2019 with an i9 and 5600 M GPU. Not much better on that system, I'd say 3 FPS? I hope they recognize this issue and are able ti fix.

have you reported this issue to the zendesk? they'll definitely read it posted there... be sure to use a valid working email address so you can update the ticket if needed or so HG can ask you for more information if they need it...
