You might have something on your Mac causing a conflict with NMS.

Put in a bug report to Zen Desk. (But Krash is right that I would first check things out on my end. Likely as not, it is something you can change to stop the crashes.)

Depending on how new you are to the game, be aware that we are the testers for new updates. It is not uncommon for the game to be pretty unstable for the first week or so after a new update. Also important to let them know if you are having problems trying to play. They rarely scan this sub forum- especially the general forum.

The Mac version just came out, right? I'd expect it will take many months to get polished.

you are beter off sticking to a gaming pc/laptop and use your mac for designing anyways.

Brilliant idea. But not everyone can afford, is willing to or have space for multiple computers. Also, gaming for some is a minor pastime so they can't justify a designated gaming PC.

True but if finance etc is the reason then people should not expect things to run as they should. I saw already too man dissatisfied Mac users complaining about how ♥♥♥♥ the game is due to issues on their Mac ( not only at NMS but other games which support MAC).

Just general, nothing towards OP as he is having a question regarding a technical issue rather than bashing the devs. But yeah, I cant expect my Peugeot to drive the same speed as a lambo and complain that Peugeot sucks.

Macs are supposed to be consistently stable like consoles. The biggest reason why artists prefer Macs, they ain't tech nerds like the rest of us. Are those days over and Macs are now just as unpredictable as PCs?

Terrible analogy. Macs don't suck like Peugeots. I just tested on a 3 yo M1 Mini and I'm getting performance comparable to a low-midrange PC from a silent, tiny, little machine with no real graphics card. This is rather impressive. Sure my Nvidia card on my PC is a lot faster, but it's also hotter, louder, more power hungry, huge (twice the size of the Mini) and cost more than the entire Mini.

There are Windows PCs being sold these days that suck more than any Mac. Actually, most PCs sold these days are rockbottom garbage unless you buy from a custom builder or DIY.

Macs generally are simpler to manage and use and yes, they have a lot less issues since Apple controls the entire hardware ecosystem while MS has to make Windows work on millions of hardware combinations. Problems with Macs are mainly limited to sloppy and inexperienced developers writing crap drivers and software. Also, mac OS is famous for low audio latency that Windows never matched so that's why it's preferred by musicians.

Seems to be running fine today, just updating. An hour in now no issues

Still crashing on my iMac, with 64gb ram and 8gb graphics. I think it's the game.

I am currently having this issue now on my MacBook Pro M1, strangely after playing the game for almost 200 hrs on the same device without any issues.

It started a few hours before commenting this, while doing a sentinel salvage. Upon landing near the monolith to present the brain, game crashed while I'm on foot and has been crashing ever since, after multiple attempts of changing settings, to completely re-installing the game.

After hours of enjoying just exploring, sentinels seemed to have caught up with me and now I'm in limbo, helplessly waiting for an expert with a solution.

I know this was months ago, but best logic behind using a Mac I've read, ever.

I'm assuming nothing is overheating?

None at all. The only issue I've been having prior is that the game doesn't close properly when I quit to desktop.
