Any plans to add OpenXR support for VR?

No Man's Sky works pretty well for me on Linux via Wine/Proton. What does not work for me yet is VR, I always get a crash on startup when using Monado + Monado-SteamVR plugin with an HP Reverb G2.

I'm hoping that things might work better on Linux with OpenXR instead of OpenVR. OpenXR through the OpenSource Monado runtime worked great for me for other games (like DCS World for instance) and VR applications. And should yield better performance compared to OpenVR for some VR headsets.

Are there any plans to add OpenXR support to no Man's Sky in the future?

I've been wondering about this too. Would really help with the performance. Not sure if it's a lot of work to do this and whether the developer can be bothered

i also sent a ticket, i dont even have steam vr installed as openxr runs all my other games at a much higher perfromance, openxr is quickly becoming THE way to play vr games on pc especially since it was incorporated into virtual desktop

I have an index thus I do not need virtual desktop (bought once through Face*** with Rift CV1) Basic Video adjustments for actual desktop never fixed so not buying again on steam :p

Last time I tried on Linux with it was ok but Windows 10 with Rift was much better without stutter.
