MAC intel i5 white screen on load up
to start i have a 2020 macbook pro, after a successful download the game launches and gets to the menu screen, it loads the stars and the audio but after that the screen stays white with the audio playing in the background, im able to interact with the game but the screen stays white. help :(. ( edit as of june 21 2023, im using geforce now to run in on my mac and it works perfectly, if you have an issue make sure to report the bug https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new)

Is there an "E" at the center of the screen?

So is the normal new save screen, then an E appears and you have to hold E to start. That's why I asked.

Just wait. Turn on FPS counter in Steam. You should see around 3-5 fps. It'll take time to even start the game.

The game is busted on Intel Macs. I'm guessing they never tested it and only worked with ARM based chips.

Just when I thought only my Intel Mac having the issue, but it seems others also encounter the same. Posting here to follow up on the progress.

White-out screen on start - same issue on i7 MB Air

On the brighter side - sound works just fine

Same problem here on 2018 Mac Mini.

I assume just older models of Macs are unable to play the game. I can download it on my Macbook air to test but id rather just give up imo

I bought the game on release and wanted to try again recently now its on Mac, Don't have access to PC. But, completely unplayable. White screen, sound is there, but nothing visually except white. Shame because it seems like the game has changed a lot.

Not sure on the integrated graphics for your machine but on mine it plays fine in boot camp. 2020 i5 MacBook Pro

Maybe an uninstall and reinstall. Steam makes it very easy from a Windows, Mac and the Deck.

Works great on my intel mac, until I look at the ground. Then it drops from 30fps to 5fps. Pretty much unplayable until that gets worked out. Hmmm... maybe a new mac is actually in order.

Which Mac do you have? Specs and identifier?

i tried that but it didnt work :( i also verified the files and it all came up right. i believe its a coding issue on their end and i hope it gets fixed

its a bit silly to replace my laptop, i think its an error on their end and i hope it gets fixed soon because its dumb if it works on some and not all
