To find a ring planet with 2 moons would be great and even with a sun shining through the ring
I took a kind of planar shot of both moons along the ring. The other moon is just a 'lifeless' moon, but it's got good resources.
So yeah, you can find these no problem.

As far as I'm aware, the limit is still 6 total planetary bodies (including moons), so the maximum number of moons in a system is 4 because no planet can have more than 2 moons. i.e. a 4-moon system would be 2 planets + 4 moons = 6 total.
I'm fairly certain if they increased that, it would have been 'big news' considering it would cause new planets to appear in previously discovered systems.
You bring up a good point though, as that means my recollection of the 4-moon system mentioned earlier in the thread is a bit off. It had to be just 2 planets with 2 moons each.
Makes me want to go back through discoveries and find it to confirm, but that would also require remembering which save I was playing at the time....no easy task considering I switch between 5 active saves fairly often.
ED isn't really a space sim, either. So the comparison is justified. Space is space.
If you want a space sim, Star Citizen is the closest to it (not counting KSP, which has more to do with raw/real physics).
My guess is that it is relatively close to the Expedition 9 system based on the discovery date.

And here's one with 2 planets and 3 total moons:

And another, the one I mentioned earlier in the thread, with 2 planets and FOUR moons

Discovery is a little confused on that one....I didn't discover it 10 years ago....it was like...a month ago.

Oh, with one exception, if I'm laying down then UP is whichever direction the top of my bed (or other surface I'm laying on) is facing. :)
