Report a translation problem
As already noted, MP is pretty shaky even at the best of times. I would try both of you jumping to a new system close by and NOT call in the anomaly. There could be some kind of MP interference going on if you are in a system where you both called in the anomaly to hook up. That would be a possible workaround...but without knowing the details of what exactly is happening...you can just put in a bug report to zendesk.
Beyond that, I also second the advice of @MrBufferlow above.
It used to work... FLAWLESSLY.
No longer works. PC User here.
They have completely broken multiplayer (fire teams).
it works with anyone who is on current saves.
Both are in the same difficulty realm - Normal and locked.
Both PCs.
Not sure what you mean by "normal saves."
if you started a new game after the update that caused the issue then this issue doesn't happen.
But why? The save is one large JSON file.
I looked at the source, and there's nothing weird there, except for more bases and possibly some legacy buliding parts.
