No single item in the game is worth that much except a player upgraded Capital Ship....
Maybe you found a quantity of items?

Most valuable item about 15M. Your price tag seems to indicate a freighter, else there is nothing similar AFAIK.

I have never seen anything for that much, but you can get some pretty high-priced scrap inventory if you sell off an S class ship or ships.

How did you get this?

What was it called?

Was a single item or a single stack of items?

I go for the stack of AI Valves... In that case it is possible that stack had this value but not a single item... I have some AI Valves in my storage but unable to check the price of those as I am away from the game for now...

Starship AI Valves are worth 50 mil each. A stack of 5 is worth 250 mil. Someone gave me a stack in the anomaly once, that is probably what happened to OP.

i dont remember picking up the items and didnt notice if there was 5 of them but what your saying seems to make sense.

You can get Starship AI Valves by buying an exotic (or hauler) maxing out all the slots then scrapping it. Most likely once you have one you use a duplication glitch to create a stack of 5.
BTW They stack 20 x in storage, so each slot holds 1 Billion units

Would be a great way to stockpile money beyond the bank limit, if they were directly craftable.

So, did someone slip it into your inventory? If not, where did you find it?

People dupe/cheat/mod them in like crazy then spend all their time standing around in the Anomaly handing stacks to everyone who enters. It's pretty annoying, I just delete them but wish there was an option to block items from people who weren't friends.

I hate to get that argument started but its the reason I only play offline. There's so much to learn and earn without some yoke duping in my pocket without asking. Some folks like it though so it is what it is and obviously isn't going to change.

The downside is that a new player wouldn't recognize it had happened until they sell and realize they just become a multimillionaire instantly as is likely the case here. Kind of game breaking for some.

If you're carrying a stack of something eg. ferrite you could split it up to fill all of your remaining slots. I guess that's more tedious than deleting the 'gifted' items however, and would cause problems if you're completing a mission to collect the rewards. Sometimes might be satisfying for blocking the troll behaviour completely though.

It's a bit of a nuisance, although when i visit the anomaly i normally come out with random junk someone else couldnt be bothered deleting like 17 pugneum or 53 silicon or something.

I do have a stack of every raw resource in my backpack though, so that reduces the clutter a bit.
