Creatures won't poop..

I have a repair quest where I need fauceum, but the creatures won't poop.. :) It'll sometimes say redirecting bowels, but they won't do their thing.. Any idea? I have a repair quest and don't need a ton. I was getting milk from them as well, maybe that's part of the issue, not sure.

They usually poop a bit after eating.

i was having the same issue. I ended up just refining mordite into faecium. I tried for a while to get them to take a dump. lol

mordite can be turned into faecium through refiner

you have to feed the animal so they will poop or you kill them and turn mordite into faecium
sulphurine+ nitrogen or di-hydrogen+carbon also grants faecium or combine faecium with oxygen to get more of it

UPDATE:

Weird thing about this quest.. The faceum never came, BUT pirates later came to attack the building I was supposed to repair. I defeated them and the quest then finished. Lol.

Dont turn around and go do other things after feeding them, stay close until they poop. That solved the issue for me once

Yeah, it wouldn't work for me either. Fed a whole group TWICE and nothing. Luckily there was a planet with Faecium in the ground that I could dig up in the same star system I was in.

Phosphorous + jelly fuel + one of those wheat plant things make a great lax

1 carbon and 1 dihydrogen or 1 carbon and 2 mordite in a medium/large refiner to make coprite

or you can grow it, the recipe is very cheap

feed it, milk it, stay close and will poop in a minute or bit more
if have plenty animals around try kill some to see the % of the mordite, if its enough kill many and refinied them to faecium.
organic rocks are green glow rocks, that give plenty of mordite also.
