Got my first Raider/Pirate Frigate

So they are basically all combat frigates with a reskin I guess. After I destroyed the pirate dreadnought 5 frigates were available all focussed on combat which is to be expected I assume.

To get them destroy the dreadnought, hire frigates you like and warp the hell out of the system. in the current state if I entered a freighter or a space station after the fight endless fights occured, but others have already posted in more detail in this forum how bugged the dreadnought battles are.

Also in my experience Infra-Knife is your best choice to destroy the Dreadnought, be fast destroy the shield generators and after that melt it before it warps out.
As I like variety with my ships i tried several builds, classic photon cannon/rocket build didn't do it for me, Photon Cannon/Positron Ejector barely did it I finished it 2 seconds before it warped out.
So yeah have an Infra-Knife equipped if you hunt those.
I assume the living ships photon cannon equivalent (dunno the name) or the sentinel cannon could be beefy enough.

I also noticed before it warped out there was a message to destroy the warp generator, but things got too chaotic so i just quickly destroyed the hull.

So the new frigates aren't special stats wise or anything I think or give special rewards like the living frigates but man do they look cool all black with those red wing things. Good luck fellow travellers

Not bad but i think ill go full living frigates on my current save (living freighter when ?).

Living freighter would be neat, also own space station when?

I feel like owned space stations would be underwhelming like settlements, unless they release a ton of new base parts along with them.

Freighters are already fun to use, but living ones would also require a lot of new base parts so not sure which one is more likely to happen.

True I didn't think of that, it would basically require new modules for everything and fitting new furniture etc. in a living theme and yeah a space station would in the end not look much different from a current freighter interior, but hey one can dream. If I had to choose a living freighter or a space station, I think a living freighter would be really something new and more enjoyable as it fits with the ships and frigates. Maybe it could come with a new faction, but now I'm getting ahead of myself we just got two new factions.
