Finding an S-class Sentinel ship?!?
So .. I've been trying to locate an S-Class Sentinel ship for a few days now.
I've been using the same camp, and rescan for new ship .. go there and claim them, rinse and repeat. For the best chance, I'm in a 3 star dissonant system. Now, After claiming ( and selling ) 23 ships/finds, I'm still haven't found an S-class. I've become rich due to a ton of A-classes ... and a few B and C ...
From my understanding, all the ship are predefined when I land on the planet ( I was first contact ). Is it just to keep going and it should be found like this, or does not all planets HAVE an S-class in there spawn system?

Playing on harsh PD, doing this have made me a ton of units ( which I have no idea what to spend it on ), but all I want atm, is an S-class .. the ships that spawns here are quite nice imo .. so I really don't mind getting this look on an S-class.
Please advice

Upgrading any of my A-classes will still be lower bonuses than an Native S-class .. hence why I'm searching for one :)
It was not the case last time i checked, in fact upgrading used to always give the best possible stats for a given ship model so it was almost always superior to finding a native S class. But maybe it changed and you have the new info ?

Info is only taken from reddit posts, from ppl checking stats... but also, it's apparently very little nowadays ... seem about 20 dmg ( I don't know how much that would be when maxed out with S or X bps... )

All 3 star economies/Outlaw systems have S class possibility. The best possibility is a 3 star outlaw system. But those will spawn many more C class, making A class harder to find. But if you shun A class, go for it.

This is interesting:

Are you sure you're looking at 23 different crashed ships? Or maybe you're visiting 4-5 sites multiple times. I'll use the same camp until it points to the same crash site I already visited, then find a new camp.

I write down the cords, so I can check that I don't "overlap" the same ones, yes :)

percentage chance of S-Class is as follows
poor=0, medium=1 , rich=2 and pirate=5

I have 2 three star pirate dissonant systems. I actually found an S-class after 31 ships :)
Not quite the right type .. and the SC are soooo wrongly placed. Keeping it .. continuing the storyline ( just finished all the npc's in my base ), and will start doing the checks when HG fixes the spawnbug mentioned further up, and when I have the glyphs needed.

Gonna focus on the main story, and building for now :D

Big love to all of you who participated in this thread <3

The damage stat largely depends on what weapon and upgrades you have installed. Supercharged slot boost stats dramatically too.
To have a more relevant info on your damage potential you should directly check the DPS on your weapon (over mouse on the installed weapon itself)

Also, explorers will never have combat stat bonus no matter what class

I have upgraded an interceptor from B to S and my infraknife has currently 73K DPS (just using the 3 first S class upgrades i got from a space station vendor, no minmax involved, although i do have 4 supercharged slots close together)

You're looking for S class Sentinel ship right? Here the picture and the Portal Code
It isn't much of a look, after Echo update. But it will have to do.

@Max's.Will.It Thanks mate. I'll get that one as soon as I have enough glyphs :D
@momopovich This might just be me, but I can't seem to get those numbers in my PD playthrough .. but also then again .. I don't have 4 adjacent SC slots .. as you can see on the ship I found, I can only utilize 2 for the IK weapon .. so that lowers it alot I reckon. Don't know if there's a difference between the gamemodes, or gamesettings ( the hardest difficulty compared to Normal as an example )

Hi, did you get the ship? I hope you did. Cause you were right in your effort. I was doing the same thing and almost after 30 or so C class ships I found an S- class last night. It was a 2 star system so I don't know if the economy matters for sentinel ships. Although I didn't know we can keep using the same harmonic camp so I ended up using a lot of echo locaters. I read you post right before I found my S class :steamfacepalm:. So I would say keep going if you haven't got one yet. I must say seeing all those C class was depressing(not even a single A or B just C).

This is the one.

I will try to get one for this as well.

my A class Sentinel with 4 adjacent SC, upgraded to S class has a 97k DPS with it's Infra-Knife.

I followed a lot of coords given on reddit for default S classes, stripped them down to just their base weapon, and none of them had higher stats than my current one (which again, was an A class).

I think that "default S class has higher stats rumor" is bogus.

Hi again, sorry for being the bearer of bad new. I had the feeling this ship will not be there anymore, since HG managed to patched all the crashed Sentinel seeds. You're free to tried, but I'm pretty sure it will be something else. My sincerely apologies.

Yeah .. cheers for this anyway :)
I did in the end upgrade an A-class I had ( cause I like that look ) .. but now that I'm kinda done with the story ( still haven't figured out how to jump to a new galaxy but ) I will do the Autophage thingy, build my settlement .. and then dedicate a month or 3 for ship hunting lol ( will post nice S-classes on the way ) :D

Good luck, hopefully you'll find the S class you're looking for. The Settlement quest is fairly simple, and even after the main story I still too searching more of those Crashed Sentinel Ship.

Lot's of designed, but not alot of S tier. If you wish to look for a specific design, i.e Winged, Crab leggy or 9 Thrusters, I could share you some of the Portal location.

That's a cool ship .. I would love to get my hands on that one :D
Is the SC slots good on it?
Sentient_Pickle Sep 11, 2023 @ 2:13pm
yeah, think some users have commented about this, but if I'm hunting for S class ANYTHING, I go to Outlaw/Pirate systems. Finding a Dissonant Outlaw system is going to be a bit harder, but they do exist. Also potentially relevant is that coordinates are galaxy dependent, so make sure you're in the right galaxy for the coordinates in question. Not usually an issue since most stick to Euclid, but it can happen. Entering the same coordinates in a different galaxy will not take you to the same destination
