Finding an S-class Sentinel ship?!?
So .. I've been trying to locate an S-Class Sentinel ship for a few days now.
I've been using the same camp, and rescan for new ship .. go there and claim them, rinse and repeat. For the best chance, I'm in a 3 star dissonant system. Now, After claiming ( and selling ) 23 ships/finds, I'm still haven't found an S-class. I've become rich due to a ton of A-classes ... and a few B and C ...
From my understanding, all the ship are predefined when I land on the planet ( I was first contact ). Is it just to keep going and it should be found like this, or does not all planets HAVE an S-class in there spawn system?

Playing on harsh PD, doing this have made me a ton of units ( which I have no idea what to spend it on ), but all I want atm, is an S-class .. the ships that spawns here are quite nice imo .. so I really don't mind getting this look on an S-class.
Please advice

Upgrading any of my A-classes will still be lower bonuses than an Native S-class .. hence why I'm searching for one :)

I've only found one in over 100 attempts over about 25 Dissonant systems. FWIW, it was in a 3 star conflict (2 star economy) system. It was a horrible design, so I scrapped it and upgraded a nice looking A to S.

Also, worth noting that Echoes seems to have reset the seeds on Sentinel Interceptor design, so going back to previous dissonant systems may yield a new design you like better.

same, i've scrapped so many sentinel ships, it ain't funny. found some really nice A class with power slots close together and have one but no S class, apparently they are somewhat rare
One of the five sentinel ship locations during the previous community Expedition Singularity, was an S-Class. A player had conveniently labelled it as a base so it was easy to find. They probably all had S-class versions somewhere on the planets. Players marked others but it can be quicker to collect nanites and upgrade the ships to S-Class. You can also use difficulty settings to do the same, if you are time short and can not play very often,
@smurfy .. yeah .. I know I can upgrade, I just wanted the native bonuses that follow the S-Class :D
@averageplayer, thanks for letting me know .. so it's all about being that lucky :(
@Galactic Starman I remember that, and I grabbed one of them during that time. Sadly I'm on a new playthrough, set to the harshest difficulty now, so I don't remember the places. I don't have enough glyphs to roam around either ( I deliberately stayed off the main story, and focused on the sidestories ( do ALL the base quests for all my "employers" and such ) ). Also, as I've locked the settings, I can't change anything in the settings.
At the same time, I play with a "no cheat, no glitch, no dupe" kinda thing in mind .. so I just set everything up to be unforgiving for myself hehe

Anyway .. Thanks for the inputs ya all. I might have to go glyph hunting, and then portal to a known found ship in the end ( I think I'm rich enough atm )
Back to keep building up my beach mansion haha

visit nms coordinate exchange for glyphs but wow, be prepared to go down some rabbit holes as you'll suddenly find yourself desiring so many things you'll find there. Its a reddit sub area.

It was not the case last time i checked, in fact upgrading used to always give the best possible stats for a given ship model so it was almost always superior to finding a native S class. But maybe it changed and you have the new info ?

Don't mean to be a bummer but I have 3 S class Sentinel ships.
I found the first one on my second try! Just luck I guess.

All 3 star economies/Outlaw systems have S class possibility. The best possibility is a 3 star outlaw system. But those will spawn many more C class, making A class harder to find. But if you shun A class, go for it.

This is interesting:

Are you sure you're looking at 23 different crashed ships? Or maybe you're visiting 4-5 sites multiple times. I'll use the same camp until it points to the same crash site I already visited, then find a new camp.

If you're looking for a specific S class sentinel ship then for right now hold off, there's a bug that's causing the wrong ships to spawn, they're working on a patch for it.

PS. when you do get back to looking, you're better off looking in a pirate dissonant system
percentage chance of S-Class is as follows
poor=0, medium=1 , rich=2 and pirate=5
