Performance has tanked since update.

I haven't had any issues hitting a consistent 60fps in the past, but now the game is CHUGGING and I don't what else to try. My specs are i7-12700k, rtx 3050, 32 gb ram, games installed on an nvme. I tried bumping the graphics from ultra all the way down to standard. I installed the newest nVidia driver and restarted my computer. I just don't know what could be doing it at this point. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Most 'updates' are just spyware/monitoring.

NMS has been running very well on my computer until this update, now chugs along in VR and is unplayable, spent several hours on corrupted planets looking for dissonant resonators, not one spawned, very disappointing performance. Was very much enjoying this game for a long time now. Hope they can fix this issue? I Went from playing every night to Just not worth it.

Definitely worse performance in VR since the update.
Considering they just "fixed" the terrible performance of the PSVR2 version why is the PC version now performing worse than ever ?
Hello Games -> deliver same the performance updates to PC or the suspicion that these downgrades are deliberate will grow ............

for me updating to the latest 537.13 NVIDIA gameready driver solved most of the issues. I still have some lags here and there but it went from unplayable to decent again. I play VR on a RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Laptop with 8 GB VRAM using the highest per eye resolution of 3120 x 3120 (Pico 4) and DLSS set to Performance / Balanced as well as settings set to ENHANCED.

yeah it is not smooth as before, changing graphic setting to low makes it worse and drop the fps like crazy, I don't know what happen, usually I use ultra setting still get beyond 60 fps.. just pause playing until the next patch

Did this require restarting pc? I swapped and the issues remained. I wonder if there's something else we can do until a fix comes out

I have played just on VR, haven't done flat yet and didn't restart PC.

The processor that you have is the same one that I have and it gives me the same problems in the game.

Super disappointing. I had no problem getting 100FPS @ 4k in all previous updates, but now the framerate and frametimes are chaotic and the stuttering makes it unplayable.

edit: I also have a 12700k. I guess this the problem based on what others have said?

Was having the same problems as everyone, but I found a fix - simply reinstalling the latest Nvidia drivers with a Clean Installation got my FPS back up to 100+ @ 4k (3080 Ti + Ryzen 5900x).

I've never been able to get this game to run smoothly. I wanted it for VR and while landing on planet and flying off planet is amazing to me in VR, even on low settings, it stuttered constantly. Lowest settings with default VR resolution was still near unplayable and I'm running nvme, 3090, 32gb ram, i9 9900k. Pretty much almost given up on this game. Once Starfield drops, I'm thinking this is an uninstall from here on out. Its too bad because I do like what's here. Sad really.

i have more powerful CPU than 9900K (Ryzen 7 3700X) and it's barely enough for 3060 ti so you aren't getting full power from 3090.

Yeah, my cpu is definitely my bottleneck. I'll be updating the mobo and cpu soon but still....on all settings being low and VR resolution? This spec should easily be able to plow through this with no issues. The game has never run smoothly for me. I can play most games at 4k with high/ultra at 100 fps or better so I'm leaning towards it being the game itself.
