What is this in Deep space located after pulse drive 5 min (screenshot)

After try to force a 2nd egg of living ship to activate an enconter to get location to a fallen living ship that i can replair (accordingly to wiki guide you can) i came across this at screenshot

It first say it was a fallen civilization .. something.. scan show what you see.

Can not seem to do anything to it.. any have a clue?

There are several deep space encounters that do not do anything. Maybe they will used in a future update.

Can you shoot these? I have not seen one yet. Genocide is generally consider "not correct answer".
