Where does this bug happen exactly, what does it mean 'Shut down the Atlas'? I can visit Atlas stations to interact or not interact, but AFAIK there's nothing to 'shut down', or is this a special mission?
Ok thanks. At that point it's good to backup the manual save (as I said in another similar post.)
Did just the apperence change, or is it a completely different ship?
If it just cosmetic you can use the save editor to change it back. If you have a backup of your save you can use that to copy the ship seed value to your current save. If not, there are a few fan sites with ship seed catalogs. You find a seed value for a ship that looks kind of like what yours is suppose to.
If it's a completely new ship you can still use the save editor, but it will be more work.
Even if you don't have a backup of your save, you still have a manual save, or not? By loading it you will lose some progress but it should send you before your choices of the galaxy in the Atlas station. If yes, be sure to make a backup by copy-pasting that manual save somewhere.
It's not only about the ugly ship, it's about the content that was on OP's ship before which is probably lost.
That said, let's not overlook the millions you may have poured into this now undesirable ship. In my case it was a fighter with a specific look, and then it changed into another of the defaults out there. I didn't care for the look change neither lol. What a waste.
If we change the appearance of our ship through upgrades, like cargo space = some new added piece on our ship, then that would be great! But, no. Or, can we now?
