For example, if you're harvesting gasses or busy refining something, and then leave to explore the rest of the current solar system, there's a good chance any materials you left in them will disappear.
If you dare leave that solar system, it's practically guaranteed that anything you left in a refiner or harvester will be gone. Really hoping this bug gets patched sooner rather than later. Been dealing with it ever since I started playing in the Next update.
Here's a pro-tip, I've read that the 3 hot spots form a triangle (tested it several times and they do). Meaning that gas, mineral, and electromagnet are always near each other. If you find a hot spot you want, make sure you place your base at like the middle between the hot spots that way you can build at each of them. This is very useful for using electromagnet for powering extractors.
