Interceptor cockpits
Do all of them have the glowing scrollwork on the canopy? And is there any way to get rid of it?

I LOVE THAT VISUAL!!!!! I'd rather fly my Class C Interceptor than my Class S Solar.

I thought somebody would be asking something like: Why does a starship operated by an AI the size of my fist have a cockpit (at all and) big enough to fit me, anyway?!

Edit: Almost forgot: You can change the camera from cockpit to chase ship, to get rid of it while flying. If there isn't a mod yet that lets you remove it from the exterior, there probably will be soon.

Maybe mess with some graphics options... or fly a different ship, as I've not seen anything other than the glow - it's part of the design.

yes, it's just a glow, that seems to appear randomly, but i find it annoying. Guess i just have to deal with it.

I was just going to say look into Nexus mod, someone is bound to make one for it but it seems there's already one according to Krash

I like it a lot. Kinda cool. A bit like the map car scene in Starman film.

You can easily key bind the camera toggle views to a key. Then it's just one key press to change camera while flying. On a controller you can set the key to a button or have it set as a long press on a button. Fun.

One interesting thing to note about sentinel ships is that they take a second to turn on the external view once you enter them.

This implies that you aren't actually looking to the outside, but you are looking through monitors, that are connected to some external scanner positioned in front of the ship.

So that red glow is just flair used to indicate that you are seeing things through a 'camera' rather than through a window.

No... i get the whole, it's solid but i'm looking through it thing.

While it's cool in theory, in practicality, it's an obstruction to my view.

Supposedly the thrusters are still damaged even though they're not. Probably a new repair requirement coming in the next update.
