Can`t give companion laser?
So I spent weeks breeding a companion to my liking only to discover the creature I chose to breed does not allow shoulder attachments such as the mining laser. Of course, this does not change much since companion attachments are mostly cosmetic. I just want to know, what are the requirements for a companion to be able to have left/ right flank attachments?

Once a creature is adopted, the dialogue options to feed, pet, ride, equip. will be shown. If the creature is too small to ride or equip it will so state up front. Hence you may decide whether to invest time in the adoption process.

The unknown is if you can eventually grow it in the Anomaly Egg Transmogrifier to a size it will accept.

I've modded the Beetle to be microscopic and can no longer be flown/ride. It will never be bigger than 1 millionth the size it is suppose to be; this is a side note as it is now overridden in the hardcoded mod.

Its a quadruped mechanical creature. I have bread it to be twice as tall as me. I suspected that If I increased its size enough I could fit more attachments; unfortunately that does not seem to be the case. Currently searching for a more suitable specimen...

If memory serves they have only the one hardpoint.
