If the save had not been used in a year or two then maybe it is using the same array location of something that was removed from game.
Has that character been on the Anomaly? Could someone have given it to you?
no, when i opened the game for the first time in months, the Atlantideum was in the inventory... this before i've done anything else... i loaded in to my last save position which was on my freighter... then i checked my inventory to see what i had and if i needed to sell or refine anything before going and handling my frigates that were awaiting debriefing...
The name "Atlantideum" when i red it the first time in the game, made me think if something may be coming in the future with SEA and OCEANS, or something sunken there.
But never seen it before interceptor update.
If you did the basic run-through on the Artemis mission, then you were attacked by Corrupted Sentinel drones at the site of his crashed starship.
as a material, doesnt matter if you hunt corrupt sentinel or not, just be in a planet and use the tool to gather it. You can gather it while shooting a carbon and is in front of it or behind it and gather it.
and since it added in already discoverred planets so everything will have it. One of my base planets was clear of everything and now is corrupted sentinels.
my explenation
The wiki is not a good source of info for anything newer than 3 years ago in the game & even then, it's sketchy.
There are tons of ways to get Atlantideum. You might have got it from a frigate mission, or space station or nexus mission or countless other sources.

oh, wait... i could maybe go digging through my backups but that's a really deep and tedious hole to be in... hummm... and then there's the basic encryption in the JSON files... idk... we'll see what happens... maybe...
