Quick Question - Icon of a Skull with a Lock above it?

While using the teleporter, my base have that skull with a tiny lock. Still doing tutorial. Only Awakenings active.

If necessary, I can upload the picture/icon.

the skull indicates a pirate system... you cannot teleport into pirate systems from most teleports... you can get into them via your own teleport, though... so the lock indicates that you cannot teleport into that system from the current teleport you are trying to use...

That's what Isnt making sense to me. This system is not an outlaw system. I started in this system and It does have the normal space station.

That's what Isnt making sense to me. This system is not an outlaw system. I started in this system and It does have the normal space station.

Bases are not affected by the Outlaw system lock even if the system is an Outlaw system. You can teleport both to or from bases that are in Outlaw systems freely. As well as to bases in regular systems from an Outlaw system.
It is only space stations and the freighter that are affected by that.

Which still begs the question, what is this skull icon with lock that MaruWeave is dealing with?

@MaruWeave, can you take a screenshot and post it for us to see? It does sound like the Outlaw system icon, but it obviously isn't.

Depending on how far you have gotten in the tutorial, it makes you teleport back to your base from the local station BEFORE you can start using the one in the base. (At least that was how it worked last time I ran the tutorial)

It is similar to how you can't get the Anomaly until you pass certain checks. In expeditions, it is getting to a second system.

To make things clear:

My first system, saved started here. Normal Space Station, not outlaw space station. Only have Awakening Quest. Didnt even unlock Anomaly yet.
I was able to use the teleporter both ways. Going from base to Station, and Station to base, even with the icon.

I have never seen that in my game, ever. i also never build a teleporter until after I've progressed further than the awakening mission.

My guess is that @Mr. Bufferlow's answer is the reason for it. That sounds legit to me, despite having never experienced it myself.

Yes. So that's It then? But what would it be the point to show that as an icon in the teleporter?... But Jaggid said in another post he plays hardest settings and he never saw that icon before.

I have that setting. I think JE plays survival with ultra hard custom settings.

These icons were added when they added the ability to lock setting. I guess it's so players know your base was made with locked settings, some kind of pride mechanic or something, who knows.

I do also play permadeath on occassion, and play with difficulty settings locked on all of my saves. I still have never seen that icon on any teleporters.

...I just realized though, I use a mod that specifically removes "Useless icons" from the teleporter list. I bet this is one of those useless icons. link to the mod[www.nexusmods.com] in case anyone reads this and says, oh, I want to hide those too.

i may have misunderstood you... it has been a while since i've done the early-game stuff... and for some reason, my mind somehow read that this was being seen in the Galaxy Map... sorry... i'll go read the rest of the topic, now, and see what others propose...
