abandoned buildings are too common

trying to hunt down crashed freighter and crashed starships for upgrade modules using planetary emergency charts but at this point its getting annoying getting abandoned buildings most of the time and i only had 1 freighter distress signal out of 7 charts (the other six was abandoned buildings)

if there is any other ways to get these modules please mention them cause it would be very helpful

When a building is tagged, run another chart without visiting the site. Even better: use nautilon scanner to locate crashed freighters.

If you can get low to the ground on any planet and don't spot a downed freighter in 30 seconds of flying straight in any direction with your Starship, try a different planet.

Follow @Krash Megiddo's advice. When you are scanning and after something specific, keep scanning until you find the POI of something you are looking for. Don't visit the matches you aren't interested in. It will save you a lot of time.

And, for crashes, going to planets with water and using the Nautilon cuts out that step entirely, seeing as the Nautilon scan reveals ONLY the crashed ships or crashed freighters. It just involves needing to swim a little bit.

if you plan to spend alot of time farming crashed ships and freighters in the same system here's my pro-tip

1) buy at least 10 distress charts (5 for the setup+however many sites you want to salvage)
2) land on a planet that is NOT the one you want to farm on
3) set off 5 distress charts (5 is the minimum to located all the POIs)
4) visit and salvage the crashed freighter site
5) you should have 2 crashed ship sites located, fly to them but only land if the site has a distress beacon there ...salvage the ship
6) now goto the planet you wish to farm
7) on this planet every distress chart you pop will only ever give a crashed ship you can claim or a crashed freighter (the other existing POIs are noted as 'off planet' so they won't get in your way)

NB. the POIs found by charts but not visited survive a reload...so you can continue with (7) over multiple game sessions

7 is a pretty low number. It's just the RNG. You'll encounter streaks like this, but they don't last. I've gone atleast 20 charts without finding an abandoned building.
