I use the gold version with yellow light myself...right now at least, I tend to change it every few months.
You'll notice right now that the "Type-B" space stations models are big on the speculation channels. If you play with the mod that forces these to spawn, (and assuming the mod itself isn't a Blender fake-out), then you can speculate a bit off the fact that the interiors of those space stations are unchanged from normal stations. Like one of them has a huge triangle hangar port... but the inside still seems exactly the same as a normal space station. This is complete with ships still clipping through the roof as they come in for a landing. The sort of thing you'd normally fix if you were redoing a station's model. If we assume that the models are genuine and have either accidentally been left in or HG purposefully left those breadcrumbs for us to find, then the lacking interior redesign might be a sign of a bigger update.
Now look back on Utopia, because one of the things this expedition did was show us that the Anomaly specific research tasks could be "untethered" from the Anomaly itself. Those utopia research stations aren't really new code, (one of the past base construction mods let us spawn sentinel walkers and quads from a sphere generator, so making an object with coded behaviors isn't new). However, if I were trying to lay ground for something bigger in the summer update, these little breadcrumbs would be where I started. It might be that we didn't get the interiors to "Type Bs" because the interior is where the MT, Exosuit and Starship expansion terminals currently are. That part isn't being leaked, because it'd be a big honkin' reveal if suddenly there's a big customization area where the dinky little stations are now. Or I could be off in the weeds...
Until then, I can only chime in that I've taken to calling my upgraded Minotaur, "The Mirth Mobile", because of the color. I like to ride it down from orbit with the enduring battlecry of my people: "Party on, Garth!" Feel free to join me.
