Can't add friend via code.

The game has the ability to add a friend in the game using a code. On the left is a list of friends in Steam, on the right are empty fields, below show the code, and add a friend. In order to add a friend, you need to give him a code. The code is not shown to a friend just like that, you must either write it with your hands, or send a screen where the code is visible. After entering a friend's code from my side or entering my code from him, nothing happens. Says code not found. Is this a glitch or is it not working yet? Or are we both doing something wrong? You can simply join the game, namely, you can’t add a friend. Or do you need to play a multiplayer game? The game has a lot of nuances and incomprehensible actions for which there are no instructions. I would be grateful if someone could tell us how to proceed. Thank you.

В игре есть возможность добавить друга в игре с помощью кода. Слева список друзей в Стим, справа пустые поля, снизу показать код, и добавить друга. Для того, чтобы добавить друга надо дать ему код. Код просто так другу не показывается, надо или писать руками, или отправлять скрин где виден код. После ввода с моей стороны кода друга или ввода моего кода у него, ничего не происходит. Пишет код не найден. Это глюк или пока не работает? Или мы оба что-то не так делаем? Просто присоединиться к игре можно, а именно добавить друга не получается. Или нужно играть именно в многопользовательскую игру? В игре много нюансов и непонятных действий на которые нет инструкции. Буду признателен если кто-то подскажет как нам поступить. Спасибо.

That is what one should expect however reality is no such access is catered for in Multiplayer a code has to be entered.

(Even when a code is entered nothing shows.) re-enter the code you get advised code already applied. log out then back in nothing.

In single player mode others may join, and this is where it become perplexing my friend I can not add, has another friend access his game as the host he is not in multiplayer. I have no information if the other participant is in multiplayer mode or not.

Yet the steam friend I have has not used multiplayer and after some fluke another friend joined as per adding a friend.

When allowing steam friends to join a logically simple addition to have a menu item "Add Steam Friend" then have a drop down of all steam friends and search option in case you have lots to go through.

Still allow code for as you said cross platform access.

It seems to me to be a stuffed up way family/friends can share games currently in Steam, the only way it works is to have the non account owner having the owners account logged into on their device this is a security breach and potentially extreme risk potential to the owners account.

A totally unacceptable practice IMO a better way can be done but this post is getting to long for me to detail a semi decent way to address that security blunder.
