- The systems where the most recent expedition or two took place. (I was just in an expedition 9 system yesterday, for example, and there were 3 other people there when I entered).
- The system where you complete the Living Ship quest....pretty much there are always people here.
- Systems that are known by a lot of players to have good derelict freighters (I rarely find the Taz system empty, for example).
- Systems where the current weekend Quicksilver mission is happening, when it's a weekend.
some things, like plants they are growing, you can get but they're still in place in that player's game instance for them unless you take them while both of you are in the same place in-game...
You can also take rsources from their storage silos if they have hotspots tapped. It's not 'stealing' from them, because it won't affect their own ability to also get the materials, but it is 'free stuff'.
And if they have anti-matter reactors that they had fueled up before uploading the base, you can also take anti-matter.
Honestly, you can take all kinds of stuff, it just doesn't impact the player who owns the base (unless they are in the same instance of the system at the same time as you are there....then it does impact them, and you would be, effectively, raiding them).
Enjoy.
EVERY single time....I always forget. Until I'm in the middle of a situation where it would have been very bad for me if any other player had decided to be malicious.
So far I've been lucky, and have never actually ran into a malicious player before remembering, but I feel like it's just a matter of time. And it will suck, because I play at the higher difficulty, which means I'd lose everything in my exosuit if it happens.
I honestly think HG has it set as enabled for the default in order to get revenge on the player-base for how mean people were when the game first came out. LOL
Only suggestion be play in perm death mode for added risk.
Plz water my NipNip buds if you stop by
When I started in Oxt I did my first settler mission in the Unification Day 2022 Galaxy, I went to go see the Last Egg from the First Dragon base & while impressive, I was moving on quickly afterwards.
I pop in to mess with the place & see LOTS of people show up, drop in on other planets & pop out, I've even run across A fella that does YT Video Guides for NMS.
So it's not much, but it works A little, I don't know about the other Featured Bases or their popularity, but sooner or later folks tend to get bored or wanna go see what makes them Featured, they're also quick hops to other Universes without having to put in the work.
