No Man's Sky
Best way to farm nanites
One of the most efficient ways to farm nanites in No Man's Sky is by killing Sentinel Interceptors and collecting their Hyaline Brain drops. Each Hyaline Brain is worth 260 nanites, making it a highly valuable item for players looking to quickly accumulate this valuable currency. It's worth noting that nanites are obtained by refining Hyaline Brains. Additionally, Sentinel Interceptors are not particularly difficult to take down and can be summoned by firing at a space station or cargo ship. By farming Sentinel Interceptors and collecting their Hyaline Brains, you can easily amass large amounts of nanites in a relatively short amount of time. :halohotdrop:

prefer to gather larvas for faster nanites from abandoned builidngs, just use emergency charts or just fly on surface of planet and scan.

now with the update with those pink mats, are bit more faster. as i see.
missions fro space stations help
all those green-brown-purple slimes too via refining.
pugnem
tainted metal from derelict freighters
and from terminals of abandoned buildings, in me are buged (and some other players too) and give constantly 120-160 nanintes every 15 secs.
lol, all these methods are so slow for me. I just have a mould farm, way quicker/ If you want to use it let me know, otherwise to make one just find a large ( large over medium or small clusters ) a LARGE cluster ( about 10+ or so mould balls. Make a base on it, box em in, get a storage/power/gate/refinery setup condensed into a small spot and voila, mould farm. You mine the mould balls up, store em, save game, reload save & mould is respawned, ready for another mine & store. I can get about 5k every 3 or so minutes.
Have two farms with total of 24 moulds on current save. One pass through them is 20k as one gun is set up specifically for increase in mining quantity in the superslot (88% more). So fast and easy then off to the freighter to refine while I do my other chores up there. And of course I refine throughout playtime all the random stuff that floats by. Anything else is just gravy but derelicts are good too. New stuff nice if one isn't already set up old school.
Fastest way is to buy tech, sell it and/ or scrap ships for units + tech and sell.

Are you saying there are Multi-Tool Modules that Increase the amount of resources You mine?!? If that's correct; while I couldn't see a reason for Multiple Multi-Tools before... now I'm going to have to try and set one up just for Gathering Resources. But then again... since there is a Limit to the number of Modules you can have; I'm not sure how that would work; why wouldn't I just use such Modules on my Current gun?!?

But again... Am I Understanding this Correctly?

The BEST way right now is to farm those new 'Earth Drillers' (I forget the name of the new giant sentinel machines that drill into the earth) and put those mirrors you get into a refiner... one mirror gets you NINETY FIVE nanites! woo! :)
Get you one of the new ships that can hover / go slow - use your squadron to help keep the sentinel ship off your back that will come in and so you don't have to recharge shields much... and then just cruise the surface picking those things off. You can get a bunch of them in no time flat and get thousands of nanites pretty quick.
I made myself over 50k nanites today already haha

I just got about 30k in a few minutes, but used the refiner glitch to turn 10 mirrors into about 200 then put them in my refiners on my freighter. Loaded up about 8 refiners and by the time you do that, the first is ready to be empty and reloaded. A lot faster than refining the mold I used to mine.

Dude if you want to cheat just do it, use the NMS editor and give yourself whatever you want.
I acquired nanites passively while farming x-rank upgrade modules. Teleport between a number of outlaw stations, buying every single weapon and tech pack sold by the contraband merchant for units, and (once you have a few hundred of each) open them all. Use the randomly spawned mods that you're looking for to upgrade your gear (ship, exosuit, and multi-tool... these packs give you mods for everything except launch thrusters and exocraft), and sell the ones that you don't for nanites.

No dedicated farm required... and while it does cost units, it doesn't cost that many, and units are very, very easy to acquire... especially now that sentinel ships can be salvaged and sold for a ton.

I have three Curious Deposit "farms". Find a clump of them and build walls around them with a raised platform to shoot from. Each of these farms have four refiners. Start cycling through them, blast curious deposits, put in refiner, transport to next farm, repeat the process. When I go back to the first farm, there's a new batch of deposits. It's an endless loop of nanite creation with zero risk. When I'm working this cycle I have 12 refiners processing curious deposits. I currently have 400,000 nanites, which only took a a few hours to generate.

I am so cheesed off. I didn't think of this. Like, I just literally had come across 2 different little box canyons yesterday, one with THREE and one with FOUR of the big'un curious deposits on the hills above it. Like, you could literally stand on a single story roof, plink them all and they would all roll into the same little area....

AND I DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS. This is what I get for forgetting all the stuff I learned last time I was playing years ago.

Yes there is a good reason to have two guns, one for just exploring and mining and the second for fighting. The superslots are great but at S class there are only four and having the right setup and placement of them is important. All guns are not created equally in that department. The new sentinel guns are pretty good and basically free-ish depending on what level you luck out on. Even though there are limited modules, they are quite strong now, way better than before the changes without mods or cheats.

There are lots of vids out there, many quite current because of all the recent changes. Watch a few of them and you will be amazed at how much you can improve your damage and resource, unit gathering. Xaine is good as are a couple of others, Captain Whose Name I can't remember, Brit fellow. Some are a little too cheezy in how they get their results but they explain how it all works. Min/maxing in this game isn't that important but it never hurts to be a bit OP.
I understand HG wanting players to be able to get the advertised Sentinel ships, but they went overboard with how relatively easy it is to get one after another, and the "trade-in value" is really high. Not to mention those crashed ships don't have any broken slots, unlike every other distress signal / crashed ship you find.

Yep, not challenge in that.
But the same goes for scrapping ships at the Space stations as well.

I would say the hole economic system in this game is broken, missions are boring and unbalanced for what you get rewarded.
And intermittently broken lol.
If you could chose the reward on a mission, and higher the reward the, harder it will be to accomplish that mission. At least then you could have been some fun to it.

Side missions at space stations are also kind of meaningless, and clunky.

Atm I am playing this game while waiting for something newer and fresher, maybe like Starfield etc.

Locate and base-camp near a Curious Deposit. A good one might net ~4000 runaway mould, and they seem to regenerate daily.

I have two bases by curiosity deposits, they regenerate any time you warp out and back. I can warp between these two bases and fill several stacks in about 10 minutes. The refining takes time though. I have glitch build a group of 30 refiners, although tedious to do, I can refine several stack of mould in about 15 minutes.
If you are lucky you can get a lot of curious deposits in a clutch, I have had as many as 24. Makes farming really easy and quick. With your multitool upgraded 24 CDs gives you 20k moulds which refines into 2k nanites. All that for holding down a key for about a minute.

I think that HG has made the game so the economy is not a big factor. Units are easy to get and cap is low. I actually prefer that, coming from MMOs that turn playtime into monetary drudgery time. Same with dailies, so happy not to feel that pressure.

I know, get a life. Maybe on the next iteration.

...Dude if you want to cheat just do it, use the NMS editor and give yourself whatever you want.

You don't need to use a mod like the saveeditor anymore. (though useful for fixing bugs),

Simply change the purposely designed in-game Difficulty Settings, under Options. You can purchase ship and suit inventory slots and upgrade ship classes totally without cost. Make anything free (except acquiring Quicksilver)

If that's how you want to play. Then you can spend more time having fun playing and exploring and earning quicksilver (without modding it) instead of grinding. More time to (grind) Quicksilver and play on derelicts and anything else. You can use your time more efficiently, discovering more ships and designs to find the ones you do want. More time to build, make music, rampage across sentinel worlds and discover weird and wonderful planets, creatures and things. More time to discover all the creatures on a world and upload them for 2000-3000+ nanites per planet (if you find nanites useful) More time to find upgrade tech and improve kit. More time to discover more ships and more and more. It never ends. And difficulty settings let you play however you like.

You might consider Normal Mode and adjust things to make purchases free and everything hostile. The game is a lot of fun in a group too doing exactly what you want.

Play (or grind) in anyway you like but make it fun and not a chore with difficulty settings. Kinda cool. More time to search for the great new sentinel ship designs and travel the galaxies hopping from planet to planet. Collecting upgrade tech or buying stuff from pirate stations you visit and hey sell stuff for more nanites on the way. : )

It's really about how you want to spend your time in game if you have limited time to play. Make your time work for you and have fun without the grind and simply play the game. There is so much to do in the game.
