Void Egg Quest Bugged?

My friend got to the part where you collect souls and need to travel through a portal to get them. He's inputting the right coordinates (we looked them up), but he gets the notification: "current planet signature does not match void egg resonance." We've never left Euclid in this playthrough. Has the recent update broken the void egg quest?

We landed at the right location. I've been to it many a time.

go to another system and reset the quest. I think you can do it for the Void Egg quest too.
It the Log smt along the lines of 'reset quest from current location'. Like you do for base computer quests etc.

It's possible the void egg s giving a different address. Check the sequence of words on the item in the inventory then make sure it's the same as the 'standard' address. if not figure where you really need to go, otherwise file a bug report here https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

No, it's not. The sequence is hard-coded and is the same for everybody: 026A:0084:0C16:0219 in Euclid, Ischel-Althu.[nomanssky.fandom.com]

Yeah, theres a guide for getting a living ship here on steam, with a picture of translation of the words to images. Get that picture. it will help greatly.

We followed the wiki guide. I've done the egg quest about 10 times and use the guide every time, as I can never remember the portal address. He's tried with and without multiplayer enabled, and still no dice.

The only difference other than this time doing the quest across an update is that he was gifted the egg by someone at the anomaly.

We have checked; this is not possible.

'The easiest answer is usually the correct one', as the old saying goes...

In this case there could be two issues:
1. He's not really in Euclid like you two believe. Check the galaxy name in the top-left of the galaxy map.
2. He's not typing the glyph address correctly.

I very highly doubt it is a 'bug'. It wouldn't make any sense for it to be, especially considering they haven't changed anything related to that quest, or using portals, in many, many updates.

We are in Euclid. We never left. Also, the planet is full of bases with the title "living ship" in them. We used the same address I did when I got my living ship the day before. The description on our eggs was the same address.
