Same problem, can you fix that?

no ships on that world move on to another unless you just want to farm mats.
had a few worlds like that kept farming the first one for a while then moved on.

Where did you fight them? If you were in an uncharted system, or if the only dissonant planets are dead or exotic, there will be no camps and possibly no ships which would explain the scan finding nothing.

The scan for them fails in some dissonant systems when you use any of the other methods (Dreadnought AI Fragment or Harmonic Camp Terminal) as well, you just need to try a different dissonant system.

Sometimes, things weird out I guess... But for the ship, should be easy to follow the tips to the nearest dissonant system...

For the echo locators... Its more random.... was on a game earlier and couldn't get one to drop... But, I'd gotten one a day or two ago...

Still have no idea how to work through the lockdown issue on those camps...

First you select "Scan Memory registers" and do the basic math to learn the 3 numbers needed, then you go back to the "Main interface" and select "input override glyphs", where you can then can input those specific glyphs.

You are probably having the same problem as me, where you aren't noticing that there are 3 white squares you can click on to input the glyphs. The white squares are so faint, and the background so bright, I didn't see that they were there at first.
I spent a ton of time trying to 'fix' my game. Did Steam repair files, removed all mods, etc. etc. Then noticed the squares and was like....doh!

Here's two screenshots showing it, the first where I have my mouse over one of the white squares. Clicking it brings up the glyph input screen. The squares are a lot more visible in the screenshot than they are in-game (at least for me they are).

And here's a screenshot with all three glyphs already input, so you can see where the squares are.

On my test systems with no race or life seems to give nothing, don't give up could be a rare ship in a dead system be silly to get nothing in them all

This ^
Took me a bit to figure it out on accident - by using one of the "Dreadnaught AI" scanners I had in inventory - it told me it was detected in another system.
So, if you are on a planet with no buildings (one of the rare exotic planets for example), then no amount of defeating the sentinels will auto-scan for one of the encampments because there are none.
I've found it's good to get a few of the Echo Locators and Dreadnaught AI scanners built up and just use on of those upon entering a system. That way you're sure to either get a marker, or a notification to re-open the galaxy map and go to the marked system.

I just had a similar issue just a little bit ago. Found a dissonant system and the corrupted sentinel planet. Landed and built a tiny base (saved); did the five waves on foot and got the 'nothing found' message. Quit for a break then re-loaded save, repeat the waves and got the crash site link.

I can't for sure say whether or not this is a bug, however there is one difference between my first fail and second success. I built my mini base right next to an Archive, and that's where my first try failed. Second try after reloading I moved just a short ways away, and success. Not sure but could be a possibility, though this gives me the nagging idea that this has already been mentioned... been sick this week so brain fog... :(

Can it be that not every dissonant planet has crashed sentinels? Seems logical to me.
Captain Brendig Apr 9, 2023 @ 2:13am
I have read that as well, but in my case it seemed to be a bug or a proximity issue. Thought I might mention it just in case it can help others.

When your looking at the galaxy map and find a system that is “Dissonant” make sure there is no 'missing data' statements when you hover the cursor over the system in the galaxy map.

So when you see all the little stats for the “Dissonant” system, if any of the info or stats say 'no data' or 'missing data', when you go to the corrupted planet, after clearing five waves of corrupt sentinels, you get the message 'nothing found' instead of receiving a crashed ship location.

Took me some time to figure this out, after I caught on, every time I cleared the five waves I got a crashed ship location for a sentinel ship every time, so please be warned. It will say either missing data or no data, cant remember which one.

I just stopped bothering with killing sentinel waves. It's quicker to just fly around or ride or drive around looking for sentinel drillers. Most have the inverted mirror, but some have the echo locator. Run up to them to see which it has, kill it if it has a locator, then run and lose the guards.

You can also get the echo locator even quicker on corrupted planets that are lifeless, dead, airless, etc. and at night. The sentinels are easier to find that way, then take the echo locator to a planet with life on it.
Rexxer Apr 11, 2023 @ 8:07am
After killing off the sentinel waves you get an echo locator device. You click on that to get the location of the harmonic camp which has a MT and directions to a sentinel ship.

honestly IMO its quicker to dot his in space by starting a fight with a freighter (non pirate system), taking out the waves of sentinels (IN SPACE) and then taking out the sentinel freigther which drops (not sure of 100% of the time) an echo locator
