Resonance amplifier does nothing, can't find any more sentience echoes.

With reddit out, I guess I'll ask here. I have the resonance amplifier installed, and now, the only expedition mission available to me is the "Find sentience echoes" mission. But I can't track. I landed on a planet with "Dissonance detected", and looked around with the scanner. Pressing F for scanning just scans thing normally - there's no tracking at all. Pressing C just reveals nearby Sodium / Oxygen / Dihydrogen, and does not reveal sentience echoes because I can't track them.

Now what?

It doesn't track them. You have to look for the actual icon for them in your visor. Just like you would if you were looking for a specific resource deposit, or curious deposits, etc.

The icon looks like the radiant shard icon, with an additional vertical line in it, as shown in this screenshot (courtesy of @Geldric):

Once you see that icon, travel to it, and when you get there activate your scanner (the scanner pulse), to make them appear.

You also must be using the Multi-tool that you installed the Resonance Amplifier into. <- that is what makes the magic happen.
