Hyaline Brain bug?
I have a handful of hyaline brains I've grabbed from some C-tier sentinel ships, but I am unable to resonate with them to bring them to a ruin and purify the brains so that I can finally unlock the sentinel ship.

Should I just get rid of all three hyaline brains I have on hand, or should I still hold onto them in case this is a bug that will be patched?

The brains only resonate when you have an active quest in your log for repairing a ship.

To change several over all at one time, get an active repair job for a crashed interceptor in your log. Go to the monolith, convert one brain, and then put it inside your portable refiner. The game will think you don't have one, and let you resonate another. Keep doing that until you have all brains converted.

Yes, and sometimes you need to interact with the ship a second time if you back out of the menus to quick.

This is strange. I started the expedition on Thursday and right at the beginning I found the C-level sentinel ship. I took the hyaline brain, they sent me to a monolith.. I purified the brain and went back to the ship to complain. after that I broke up the ship and took the money. LOL

I just think all "bugs" now is to due from servers are down... maybe i wrong... but is just i think

It seems that you get those back after scrapping them. I don't suspect they will be any good for anything. But who knows?

Maybe someone can tell us if we will be needing these for the expedition or if we can trash/sell them.

This. Also, they refine into 250 nanites, so no harm, no foul.

I didn't have multiplay on, yet one sentinel ship I discovered (after the quest one), disappeared after I converted the hyaline brain. So now I have an empty ship site and a converted brain. Is the expedition suppressing multiple sentinel ship acquistions?

I scrap the ship to get 40k of units. The expedition runs better when u have money. U can buy any resources, fuel, some item necessary to complete something.
It's much better than spent time for farming and looting.

Generally, i always go to the anomaly and claim the ships from twitch drops and scrap them. But in this expedition, there's no twitch drops option.. the only way is claim sentinel ship using the abandoned camp terminal to locate the ships.

Fortunately, in this expedition, we started in this abandoned camp.

When interceptor update first launched I had one take off and fly away when I approached (and it wasn't another player), so that could happen even without the expedition, @Rexxer.

Interesting. However in my case I had already stripped the ship, took out the glass and brain. Then flew to the ancient site and converted the brain. When I returned with the harmonized brain the sentinel ship flew away, already stripped and without its brain, ...not before I had opened it.

Can you refine the activated brains into nanites? If not, I would only activate the brains on the ships you are ether going to scrap or keep. Each brain refines to 230 nanites, or 2,300 nanites for a stack of 10. That is some serious nanites imo.

I’m sorry. My comment was for OP.

Dang it! I didn’t even think to check on that. Now I know. Thanks.

I was able to use the "extra" converted (or activated brain) on another sentinel ship, thereby saving the time I would have taken there to do it. Basically I am converting brains ahead of time due to the glitch to stockpile brains for future ship claims.

I just checked, and you cannot refine activated brains, so ya, don't activate them except for a specific ship you want to keep or scrap, or you will lose the 230 nanites for each one.
