If, on the other hand, you want a sandbox set in space that you can do whatever you want in, then it is a very good game.
Don't even expect to have fun playing with 1 single other player. You will often run into problems just trying to see each other in game.
It's way, WAY, better than Osiris New Dawn that much i can say for sure.
Haven't had any issues playing wth my brother, i joined his game, found him instantly, we had fun for hours. Sounds like a skill issu... imma stop myself right here.
Bases not rendering / showing at all and people teleporting around are common problems.
"Skill issue" = lol
the group aspect of MP does need some love, as others have mentioned... for example, the weather is not always in sync between those in the group... there are other things of similar nature...
basically, NMS is not an MMO... the basic mantra is playing alone together but you can build bases together and similar...
as for good or not, that's quite subjective... i have 2200+ hours in-game and think it is well worth the price i paid for it... i mean, it works out to being only 1 or 2 cents per hour of play so far... it can only get cheaper the longer i play ;)
Yeah, only said that as a joke since you see it in nearly every steam thread.
I'm aware of the problems, but i've never experienced them myself, this game either works pretty well or doesn't work at all unfortunately. It's a total coin flip for each player whether they'll have problems or not.
Forspoken, Redfall and Gollum exist, i think we are good.
I straight pirated this game for years before I bought it. After awhile you just start feeling bad. I dunno I got like 6k hours in nms over the years.
Game is awesome if you like Minecraft, Stardew valley, spacecraft and mostly running around solo exploring and building stuff.
