What to do with construct parts and seed of hope from the new expedition?
I heard something about a customizable armor set and taht the parts might be for it.
What exactly do I do with these items? Or do I have to wait for the community goal to finish to use them?

Talk to your assembled new friend at the anomaly! ;)
...I hope this step is not a bug and gets a problem after the communtity goal is done...

I talked to it but it always repeats the same phrase and I get nothing new from it. The only thing to do for me is the community goal now which sits at 3% at the moment.
However I stached the stuff in a container for now.

That's always the best bet for Expeditions... usually they just end up trinkets but it saves you from (re)crafting them

Ah ok!
I was able to turn in the seed of hope and got the reward for one of the 'hidden' milestones! Looks like a bug!
