Echo seeds

I can't see them with the suit, but the scanners in the Roamer are picking them up just peachy.

Although the location is indicated the actual crystal only becomes visible once you use your 'on foot' mutli-tool scanner at that location; default 'C'.

Um, no after the first one my suit scanners DO NOT SEE echo seeds.
I can see them if I'm in the roamer, tag them, drive to the localation, make them manifest and harvest them but the suit scanner just doesn't see them.

Yes, I have the resonance amplifier installed. And once again, using the suit I do not see the tags for Echo seeds. If I'm in the roamer it works, I did a quick run around the stations, maxed the Roamer engine modules, added the lasers and it's quite quick.

I'm also sure that's not how it's intended to work ;)

This confused me at first.

I thought the Sentience Echo would appear in "Target Sweep" scanner mode, but after the first one they only appear, like normal, in the scanner's standard "Analysis Mode". Then you approach, hit "C" for a scan and they appear for harvesting.

I've handed in 14 now. The expedition phase still hasn't completed for me. I'm assuming the community needs to progress more before this unlocks.

I read that some people have completed the expedition but maybe that was a bug...?

For now I'll just wait.

IF I tag them from the exocraft I can see them on the suit scanner. (A few have been underground). It's just MUCH faster to tool up the roamer (engine modules) zip around, scan and you get the three crystals icon, get close, scan again, they appear, mine them from the exocraft.

They come up (like the ship icon) at the top of the HUD but that's incredibly painful in comparison (because you have no good idea of distance) to being able to 'scan the horizon' find the next one, harvest and repeat.

They even come up in the ship scanners more effectively than they do in the suit.

At least you found a way that works - that's the main thing and, as you say, it's a faster way to farm.

I'm not a fan of expeditions that you can't finish until the community farm the same stuff over and over for weeks (I'll assume that's intentional and not a bug).

It feels anti-climactic. I rushed through to complete the expedition to get new stuff on my main, now it seems I have to wait for weeks for more people to do the hand-ins...?

Sorry, two crystals + exclamation mark, not three crystals is what you see using the exocraft

I'm only posting this because it's going to be very slow going if everyone gives up because they can't find the Echo seeds ;)

Correct. It will take a while.

Either it was just uncovering what they will be in the game files or they used a mod/save editor/etc.

I only now realised that you can claim some expedition 10 rewards from the Nexus on your main before completing the expedition! Been playing this game for years and still learning new stuff...

I also saw the still-locked reward items there and, from what I've read, there are two possible new head appearance items depending on how you finish the expedition...?

wondering if there's a way to get both...
