Fortunately, if you look in the portal on space stations, you can see that there are many helpful players who have made bases near to certain requirement sites, with helpful labels.
Sure they could tweak what we need to gather/craft; but in the end it's all the same: some will find that entertaining, and will enjoy the expedition while others will not. It is what it is
This appears to be a more updated version of E 1 that uses the new features added since E 1. It is a good "beginner" expedition because it doesn't stray too far from the actual game.
Personally, I am enjoying it a lot. I have always like the primary game loop of exploring so many of the quests are right up my alley. As already noted, it is not going to appeal to everyone.
There are a handful of Expeditions that I did not like over the years. I think it was E3 where you end up stuck on one planet for 90% of the Expedition and do a lot of shlepping around gathering stuff. I remember naming my base " I hate this planet".
I was not a big fan of the groundhog day expedition where you actually had to die at least once. Each time you died (and you usually ended up dying more than once)you started over again. You retained any completed quests but lost pretty much everything else.
I know a lot of players really like that one, but I was not a fan at all. I finally used the save game editor to give myself enough protection so I was less likely to die. It was okay after that but just felt like a frat initiation were your suffering was most important. I did like the concept, but the execution was not that great.
