This is NMS: nobody chases anything for 30 minutes fruitlessly and then comes here to tell everyone what a lousy shot he/she is ...
Target Drone: He's just there to give you kills.
Loop-de-loop-de-Louie: Flies around you in impossibly tight circles forever, so you only ever get to see his exhaust trail.
P-55Y B055: Appears to be Target Drone until you've brought him down to 50%, at which point he transforms. His shields become much stronger, their regeneration rate increases the regen cooldown all but disappears, and his weapons also power up.
Rave Raider: Phase beams. So many phase beams. PLUR beams may blow up your expensive ship upgrades (and/or face) if your shields dip below 70%.
Lance: Afterburns straight at you and continues past, out of range by the time you can turn around. Continues to boost out of range until shields regenerate. Wash, rinse, and repeat.
General Zod: Impossible shields, impossible weapons, impossible aim, impossible speed, impossible manoeuvrability. When you're at full burn, he will chew up your fully-upgraded and optimised backside then blow past you like you're standing still. You can hide, but you can't run.
Don't mind the sad chest-thumping 'alphas'. The AI is bad, and cheats/cheeses to make up for it, and that's a fact.
This is what I meant, for those dumb to read, I have been on their face and see all my shots go in but the shield would not deplete even on the beginning planet. I have no mods on or anything so I don't know what's going on.
this game has been on and off with bugs. Not surprised this has come around again..
In 2018 I believe someone had reported the same issue attempting to fire on a sential walker but their shots kept going through the head so they just aimed at whatever they were able to hit.
And yeah sorry you gotta deal with these stereotype stupid like minded types.
don't let em bother you to much.. they tend to annoy the hell out of me even though I have been on steam for close to 20yrs. I still get annoyed with how "Select read what they want"
This is a bug..which was around late 2017.. certain enemies would just have their hit boxes glitched for some reason.
You can fire all you want and not hit them, But the case was with the walkers and some hostile ships. at times a game restart would take care of this but then it would come around again.
The dev's just need to stop copy and pasting the coding.
They don't actually mess with the games coding they just mess with a backup stored coding and paste it in and that has been a thing a problem if you will..
cause they don't seem to remember why they altered coding the last or bother in deleting that old coding and replacing it with the newer coding so they can mess with that and use that for update/patching fix purposes
Just please try and ignore the ignorant.. I shouldn't talk cause at times I display my own ignorance just to annoy someone who has stuck first.
By the way if I may be able to bother you.. would you happen to have any radiant shards - Pyrite - Activated indium and cooper and maybe some dioxite to trade?
I have pretty much mined out and nearly hallowed out a few planets a few years ago.
Kind of not a fan of having to turn a planet into a concert jungle in place of flora and vegetation
It basically sucks the shields out of the opponents ships and uses that energy to replenish your shields. Win-win :)
I like to Phase Beam them until their shields are gone, then follow-up with the Large Rocket Tube Rocket to get a hard hit in before their shields begin regenerating.
Might take more than one pass to finish one off, but my shields normally stay full while I chop theirs away.
I guess the fix to that is just restarting the game but it was very weird how it was doing that
I use the auto target key to fight ships. It helps a lot.
Also, my old explorer ship which killed many pirates before the updates could not turn fast enough to target enemy ships. The enemy ships were invincible since you could not target them. This was my experience using mouse controls on the Steam Windows 10 version of game.
I have switched to a fighter but the low range for warps on the galaxy map is very annoying after flying an explorer.
Both time i could kill two ships, and from then on the other enemy ships did not take any dammage with the shields but myself had to recharge the shields every few seconds.
That's absolutely b*llsh*t.
Being a decent chap I went to the aid of the freighter. There were six pirates. I killed five. But the sixth, his shields were not even being dented, despite the fact that I was attacking him with S-class weapons and friendlies were also attacking him.
In the end I just left them to it and carried in with my missions.
Same here. Ran into pirates a couple of time during the expedition and the last one/two pirates seems always been invincible.
In one case I was able to defeat one of them luring him away from the freighter, thinking about an interference with the shields, but in the other case nothing to do.
Strangely enouogh, once I landed on the station and take off, I got the message from the freighter as if I completed the mission.
