When Is The Next Expedition?

I reinstalled after over a year away, and was planning on doing an expedition...But I picked the wrong time, apparently. :(

Are they on a schedule?

There's a new major update probably in the next day or two, and there's often an expedition that showcases the update within a week or so of a major update.

Wait... what??? The last expedition was #10 and the first 8 were re-run during the Christmas holidays (4 x 2 years)

I mean, it could be closer to 2 years away. I have a save from 2021, but I deleted my expedition saves before looking at them.

For future information, an expedition save automatically converts itself into a normal save after the event ends, play them as you like or not, nothing extra required on your part.

The save file converts to normal but will retain the expedition title for ease of tracking, good to keep them as you can quickly rack up quicksilver to buy goodies. If your save finished the expedition you are likely geared well enough to farm daily quests. My Polestar save became my main save because how kitted out the freighter was.

Keep in mind there is at least one expedition award that will cost you quicksilver if you wish to pull it into an existing save that is not from the expedition. Current cost for the item is 4k quicksilver.

Usually Sean drops some random emoji tweets before the update goes live, so might be looking at more like a week before the update? hard to tell really.

Starfield apparently has early access on 09/01.

I've never seen any item for sale for 4,000 quicksilver. The most expensive item is the Void Egg (which is not an Expedition reward... anyone can buy one) but that cost has always been 3,200 quicksilver.

What item did I miss???
