If you don't mind the cost or early game rarity, repair kits are pretty handy in a pinch when lacking something.
I always thought it was extremely ironic that we could create things like microprocessors, but somehow couldn't create fundamental things like wiring looms...... It should probably be in the game. I'm guessing they did this for the same sorts of reasons why things like Carbon are not sold on the market... maybe makes the game a bit too easy? I dunno...
IMO, the game is easy no matter what they do... So might as well just have everything MAKE SENSE. Add everything to the markets, add blueprints for almost everything (at least basic stuff like wiring looms!), and generally stop trying to "balance" the game by taking things out of the game (or never adding them) rather than simply adjusting their price values based on what difficulty you're set at... *shrugs*
Otherwise collect or craft anything else and simply buy wiring looms almost anywhere that has a trade terminal including settlement markets. Keep a trade terminal on your freighter to use.
Totally agree! I love this game and have played it for years. The developers are so committed to supporting and expanding the game that my hats off to them. NOT ONE DLC, that's got to be a game record.
